Venting is good, but telling someone who hurt you where to go and how to get there feels so much better. Is it the right thing to do? Maybe…maybe not. But it’s what I needed to do recently.

I’m getting better at my passive aggressiveness, but like everyone I am a work in progress. Without going into too much detail (I’m saving this story for another time and another site) I was able to let out some feelings that I had harbored inside and it felt amazing. I mean, like I was walking on cloud nine afterward. So much so, that a friend who knows my ordeal commented on how great I sounded compared to our previous conversations. My friend knows me well.

I say all this to say that sometimes it’s good to just let it out and not hold back. Tell that person who hurt you directly how it made you feel. Even if they aren’t apologetic (in which my case they weren’t). At least you won’t be carrying those feelings around and letting them weigh you down. It will allow you to clean your aura and move on. Trust me. Your spirit, mind and soul will thank you for it.

Have you ever confronted someone that has hurt you and told them? Or do you avoid confrontation?
