New York Summer Streets was this past Saturday. I try to do it at least once every summer. As you can imagine, biking and running in the city can be a little daunting sometimes. What I love about Summer Streets is that it’s one of 3 times per summer that you can ride on a NYC street without any interruptions from cars and taxis. The city shuts down Park Ave from 72nd St. to the Brooklyn Bridge. There are also stops along the way where you can eat, take aerobic classes, rock climb and more. I rode from 116th St. to the Brooklyn Bridge and back. And my butt is still hurting today. I haven’t been riding as much as I did last summer so my endurance sucks. My plan is to ride more for the rest of the season and hopefully into the fall.

 Do you enjoy bike riding?
