The myth of the fashion blogger is real! There is a rumor going around on social media that fashion bloggers don’t like to repeat their clothing.  So instead they go out and buy clothes, only to leave the price tags on, photograph them and bring them back to the store. Well I hope this is a rumor because this sounds crazy. I don’t know which one is worst. Not repeating an article of clothing or buying new stuff, wearing it and taking it back.

Please note that there is nothing wrong with wearing the same outfit on blog posts or in real life.  Now of course you can mix and match pieces to create new looks. But clothing is meant to be worn more than once. I personally love when bloggers show how they mix pieces to create entire new looks.  Fashion blogger Closet Confection did an excellent job showcasing how one can create 30 different outfits using only 10 pieces of clothing.

I don’t have the time, money nor the energy to make frequent trips to a clothing store to buy and return. I mean, who does? I’m a lazy shopper. I don’t enjoy trying things on in the fitting room nor do I like to make extra trips to stores for returns. Hence why I have so many unworn clothing with tags in my closet. I really need to try eBay or Poshmark to sell my clothing.

What are your thoughts on beauty and style bloggers buying merchandise to blog and returning it once finished?
