You guys may know I’m a regular on the talk show circuit.  Well… more like a regular in the audience of a talk show.  Another perk to living in NYC is that many shows are filmed here.  I have been featured on the Nate Berkus Show and have sat in the audience of Wendy, Dr. Oz, Bill Cunningham and Martha Stewart.  I actually started my love for going to talk shows back in high school when I sat in the audience of a teen show called Wavelengths.  And then I moved on to Jenny Jones in college.  Do you remember how crazy that show used to be? It was my afterschool past-time.

Well last week I went to a taping of Anderson Live.

The show was about animal psychics and current events.  Nightline Anchor, Cynthia McFadden co-hosted. There was a lady on there that was fired from her job for being too attractive.  I mean, she wasn’t all that cute but that was the reason her boss gave for her firing. He started developing feelings for her and felt that it threatened his marriage.  The lady sued but lost because the male judges ruled that firing was justified and he has the right to protect his marriage.  How crazy?

The staff on the show are awesome. They let me stand behind his desk and take a picture.  I wasn’t allowed to sit on the chairs though.  Most talk shows escort you out of the set very quickly after taping.  Not Andy, he stayed around for a few minutes taking pictures and chatting it up with his audience members.  What a sweetheart!  Although, I didn’t get a chance to take a picture with Anderson, I was happy that I could go on the stage and take pictures.

I want to love Anderson Live because I really love Anderson Cooper and I think he’s a low key funny guy. But truthfully, I was bored. The topics for that day didn’t entertain me. I almost fell asleep like I did at Dr. Oz’s taping. LOL. The concept of having a guest host is brilliant but they need to choose the right co-hosts that can banter back and forth with him and his dry humor. Unfortunately many agree with me and the show wasn’t picked up for a 3rd season.   But Anderson doesn’t have to worry. He still has his other show and I’m sure he will be back with another venture.  He is a talented journalist. And not bad on the eyes either. The TV loves him!
