I dropped my M.A.C. eye shadow palette on the floor last night. All of my pressed shadows broke into pieces. Ughhhhh!!! “That’s money down the drain”, I thought. Don’t you hate when that happens? So do I. Therefore I searched and found a resolution to my dilemma. A great YouTube video on how to fix broken eye shadows and blush.

If you don’t want to watch this long video, here are the directions.
Supplies:
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Broken powder compact
Directions:

1. Add a few drops of rubbing alcohol to your powder.  Start small; be sure not to add too much or it will become too thin and not dry properly.
2. Mix it in with your finger and spread the powder paste evenly in the compact. You can even crush and smooth with the back side of a spoon to keep your fingers clean!
3. Once it’s smooth, leave the compact open and let it dry overnight, if not longer.  The smell and the alcohol will evaporate.
